This book takes the perspective of the 27 year old Ms. Anne Elliot, a respectable young woman of high birth who has turmoil raging inside of her. Ms. Austen writes about the troubles and conflict inside of a young woman who was persuaded not to marry the man she loved when she was 19 . But 8 years later, the man returns, now a wealthy captain who is looking to marry one of her cousins.
This book shares the thoughts of women in the 1800s along with the snares and snarls of nobility and family ties. This book is probably for teens and up, but have a dictionary near by, because you will need it.
